Why Choose a Refurbished MacBook Pro 2020?

The MacBook Pro 2020 was for its time one of the best-performing laptops with some of the best specs available. Despite its age, it still performs excellently today and is more than capable of performing everything from casual usage to more intensive tasks such as photo and video editing and production.

What makes the MacBook Pro 2020 unique from prior and current models is that it was the last generation of MacBook Pro to use Intel-based processors (using the best available at the time) and the first to use the now-standard M Series Apple Silicon system-on-a-chip with the M1 processor.

What Are the Key Features of the MacBook Pro 2020?

2020 MacBook Pro models were the first to use Apple’s M1 system-on-a-chip, an extremely efficient and highly optimised 8-core CPU that delivered (and delivers today) excellent performance. The MacBook Pro 13 M1 (screen size is 13.3 inches) also came out with an older architecture using Intel-based processors, the Intel Core i7 which still remains powerful for most applications today.

The MacBook M1 2020 saw tremendous success and Apple continues to iterate on the M Series chips for not only the Pro line of high-end MacBooks but also the Mac Mini and the Apple MacBook Air 2020 which was released with near-identical specifications to the Pro.

What Configurations Are Available?

The MacBook Pro 2020 is available in multiple configurations, but all models come with a 13-inch display and either a Space Grey or Silver colour. All come with a 2560x1600 pixel resolution Retina display

The two main types of 2020 MacBook Pro are the M1 chip models and those with Intel-based processors (Core i7). Base RAM is either 8GB or 16GB, the latter of which is reasonable by today’s standards. Storage capacity is available in either 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB (SSD storage), which on the lower end was not quite enough even in 2020, so consider opting for higher storage models according to your needs.
